We don’t want to make any deletions to the contract at this time. The exchange funding we have available will cover the est. $459,608.85 plus room for contingencies if necessary. Will you provide the total Contract breakdown including, const. engineering and contingencies percentages?
Please hold off on sending out the “Notice of Intent to Award”. Dan is looking into any legal issues on our end if we award with approx.. $120,000 omission in the Engineer’s Estimate. I will let you know as soon as I hear how to proceed.

Balance $96,025.40 above budget
Most of the added cost is generated by adding storm drainage, removing and replacing existing sidewalks on Grange Ave, improvements at Molalla Communications, converting round catch basins to type G-2.
We can certainly delete the fabric on Grange and Heintz for a total of $24,750 if funding is tight.
As discussed, I intend to send the “Notice of Intent to Award” the contract today and start the 7 day protest period, please let us know if you want to do anything different.

Hi Jenn,
Just for your information, I compared the low bidder price to my cost estimate and they were comparable with no noticeable price spread between the two. So I crunched the numbers again on my estimate and found a mathematical error in section B under “Paving & Surfacing”. Attached is the estimate showing the corrected cost. $2,300 below the bid price.
