Hi Jenn,

If you are okay with the rest, you can cross out the erosion control and put down dewatering instead and we can move on.

Thanks,

Please have the erosion control changed to dewatering. Is this not incidental to work and included in the bid prices? I believe it was incidental for Heinz correct?

Hi Jennifer,

I have discussed the items in question with Curtis earlier and below was his response. I have forwarded your concerns to him for elaboration.

Hi Hassan,

Here you go, I had to add the mobilization item for Mikes time (Supervision), Bond and Insurance, toilet for a month. I also added $ 1,247.94 for the 3 10” Gate Valves ($415.98 EA) I missed in the first change order.

Temporary Protection and Direction of Traffic is for a flagger for a month, we will close the road, since we will have an open trench we will a need a flagger to protect the open trench.

Erosion control is for the dewatering of the trench.

Let me know if you have any question.

Thanks

Curtis

Hi Hassan,

I have a few concerns with their estimate, let me know what you think?

1) The Mob seems a bit high to me. It is calculated at approx. 8.4% when they are already on the job.

2) The traffic control is also high. If they are planning to close the road to do the work there should be minimal cost for TTC with no flagging. Also, will other work be going on during this time? I’m calculating just over half their quote for 30 days of a full street closure.

3) What is the breakdown for erosion control? Erosion control should already be in place.

Thanks,

Jennifer Cline, P.E.
