Curtis,

Thermoplastic can be installed as soon as the asphalt is cool, although the manufacturers recommendation is 7 to 14 days cure on new asphalt. I moved your work to this Friday 5/8/15, due to a better cure time and the impending rain tomorrow. I will be awaiting the plan with the extra work shown as described in the previous email, also the email mentions paint? Can I get that clarified?

Thanks,

Hi Curtis,

I will be doing the final walk through on Monday morning and will ask our City manager to join me.

At that time, I will develop a punch list for both city and contractor responsibilities.

I do have a few requests regarding the striping however.

General – Plastic shall be placed per the ODOT specification. If the AC cure time is longer than the planned date to apply, SPM must provide and sign a waiver to ensure their work will be guaranteed.

Grange Ave. – Center line, place a painted skip line

Stowers Rd. – Stop Bars, add stop bars for all intersection, unless there’s not enough pavement to allow.

I will provide a marked up plan sheet with the added striping locations on Monday.

Regards,

Jennifer Cline, P.E.

Hi Jenn,

How do you want to handle the final walk thru, do you to do it jointly or would you rather have the City do it? Let me know your thoughts.

Curtis, we need as-built drawing showing all the changes made in the field.

Thanks,

Hi Hassan,

It sounds like we will finish the asphalt today on Stowers, I have the pavement markings scheduled for next Tuesday, that will give us 5 days of cure time on Stowers , 8 days on Grange and 6 days on Heintz.

Let me know if I need to hold off on the pavement markings for longer cure time.

Also Dave said he has a couple of driveways to do tomorrow and a patch on Heintz then he will be done with the paving.

Since the crew is still on site I would like to request a punch list.

Thanks

Curtis

Curtis –

I apologize for the confusion on our end, looks as though we were missing some key information form the bid packet. Anyways, attached is a revised submittal package - We will be using Type A Thermo for all the bid items.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Curtis –

In regards to submittals for this project:

Item B-12: Permaline Thermoplastic , as per spec.

Item B-13 & B-14: There is no reference to a spec or required product for these items. So, typically we would submit paint (which I am), but I’m also submitting as an alternate a high skid thermoplastic Type A-HS. Please let us know if the City would like to go with paint or thermo for these items so we can schedule accordingly.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
