Can you please address Garrett’s comments regarding the waterline.
He would also prefer Resilient wedge gate valve versus the butterfly. When locating water lines, it’s best to use gate valves versus butterfly, since they are set directly over the line.
As for ADS vs PVC and discussing the issues with Garret this morning, the City has had issues when using our vac truck to jet the lines. The lines have fractured on us and we had to replace 500’ of a storm line from the failure. Garrett has also witnessed issues with the lines sagging if there is not proper compaction under the lines. This leads to dips in existing pavement.

I would like PVC pipe, not ADS for storm. As for the water main the proposed is ok with me. The brass on the water services how ever is in need of a change from Ford brass to Mueller. We need a Mueller B-24258N Ball Angle Meter Valve, B-25028N Corporation Valve.
