Regarding your question on work clothing, Clothing/Uniforms are covered under Article 24 in the Union Contract. For work pants the city has an account with Wilco where you can purchase 5 pairs. Most of the crew purchases Carharts or something similar. I’m not sure on the process to place the order, but will look into it. You will receive 5 city issued shirts with logo, I do my best to have them ordered by Sept. 29th in a Large.
There is also a $200 annual boot allowance that is renewable every fiscal year on July 1st. The boots must be steel toed with a defined heal, and are for work use only.
