Subject: Relay for Life Event - Purple Ribbons

Importance: Normal

Hi Roxy,

I am reaching out to you because it is my understanding that you are the organizer for the Relay for Life and/or Pub Crawl Events that recently took place here in Molalla.

With this event, we have found several purple ribbons attached to our street signs and other locations within the City ROW. According to our records an Event Permit was not obtained allowing the ribbons to be placed around town. Although the City may support the cause, an event permit does need to be obtained to hang signs or other items within in the public right-of-way. Additionally, when the event is done, all items must be removed following the event. In this case, even without an event permit, the City would appreciate the ribbons are removed as soon as possible.

If you are planning to continue the event in the years to come, please contact the City at least 90 day prior to begin the Event Permit process.

Regards,
