Hi Jennifer,

I wanted to check in to see if there has been any conversation in regards to efforts for relocating the ground level sign and propane tank along OR 211 in Molalla? I welcome any questions or on-site meeting to further review the City’s concerns.

Subject: Y-Mart Sign access sight obstruction

Hi Jennifer,

In regards to a phone conversation with Mike Zirkle today, he asked that I forward the attached photos to you.

The City has been working with ODOT to help improve sight triangle distance at and around the OR 211/Main St. and Mathias Rd. intersection. Upon my review of the intersection and nearby accesses, I discovered a ground level sign (with arrow) and propane tank that restricts divers’ view from oncoming EB OR 211 traffic when exiting from the west most access. Please see the attached series of photos that better describes the concern. These photos were taken from a driver’s viewpoint waiting to enter the highway in series.

Our hope is the ground level sign and propane tank can be relocated to improve the sight triangle and driver safety.

My Best,

Jennifer Cline, P.E.
