Attachments: image002.jpg; image001.png; Hi Troy, I have a few questions? · Can you give me an expected time frame the work will be completed by? · Will the remote Log in be available of the weekend for staff to check on the plant? · Do you know if the system could not read the any level in the transfer pump station, would this kick them off? Trying to look at all scenarios. Jennifer Cline, P.E. Ring; John Sowards Subject: RE: WWTP - Ethernet update Hi Jennifer Thank you for the quick response and approval of this work. We will begin immediately. Randy is to be on site today to follow up on the pH monitoring project. John will now attend him to the WWTP and they will begin tracing the existing Ethernet cabling today. We will also complete the component selection and design of the network panel and begin ordering the needed equipment. As to your other question: We can remove the “Stop” buttons for the Transfer Pumps if you so desire. I would very much doubt that disabling one of the pumps at the MCC or “panel” would create an alarm condition now, as it is normal to take a pump out of service for maintenance occasionally. If doing so caused a persistent alarm, the alarm would soon be ignored, defeating the purpose of having it. Generally, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems are configured to alarm based on process conditions such as high level, low DO, high pH, etc. - rather than the fact that a given piece of equipment is in service or out of service. Again, this is a general statement and of course there are always exceptions. An alarm that may accomplish what I think you want in this case may be to alarm the fact the “level” indicates a pump needs to run but “no” pumps are available to run. Would this suffice? We would also like to discuss removing the “Stop” button on the pumps all together. If the pumps need to be shut down, they can be managed by the WW Crew at the panel. I’m assuming making any adjustments at a panel would send alarms out as well? Regards, Jennifer Cline, P.E.
