Hi Phil,

Although you meet the City’s minimum Treatment Level 2 requirements, you do not meet the Filter Endorsement requirement. Both Certifications are State minimum requirement the City must staff to operate the Water Treatment Facility.

In regards to the filtration endorsement certification, I currently do not qualify to take the exam until I obtain 1 year experience at a conventional or direct filtration treatment plant.
I have an Oregon Water Treatment IV certification and realize the responsibility of public safety. At North Clackamas County Water Commission I was the DRC 50 to 100% of the time. I understand EPA requirements and know when appropriate action needs to be taken.
I obtained my Grade IV in 4 years and have the ability to obtain the FE certification in one year.
I would be available to discuss my experience and expertise with you further if you are interested.

In order to consider you for employment of the Water Treatment Operator position, the City will need to confirm your certifications/endorsements meet our minimum State of Oregon requirements to operate the plant.
Our plant requires a minimum Water Treatment Level 2 certification as well as a Filter Endorsement. Please provide proof that you meet these minimum requirement for the State of Oregon as outlined in the job requisition. I can see you are register on the Oregon Operator List with a Treatment Level 4, however no FE is listed.
Also if you have a resume, that would be useful for the city to review as well.
