Looks like only oversizing the pipes would warrant a credit to a developer. It’s something we may need to look at with water rate adjustments.
It is substantially a higher cost to the City (approx.. $1700 to $2000) to install a service line from the main to the meter versus just installing a meter and box ($600). I am charging Avison the contractor cost $2000 plus the $600 connection to add a service on Stowers.

Do you have Alex’s number on Stowers. He told me he was going to cold patch it until they could be the waterline done.
Also, did Alex take a credit on his SDCs to do the water line work himself? The crew is planning to provide the service, which is fine if he paid the full water SDC fee. My understanding was developers typically run the services and mains, like the Big Meadows development, and we give them a credit on their SDCs. The $600 connection fee just covers the purchase of and work to set the meter and box.
