To view the new files:
First open Google Earth and delete the older files
Double click the new files to view them
Notes for this round:
- Utilities in the 4 corners area and 213 significantly cleaned up as are distribution lines from the treatment plant.
- Sewer field collection is complete but a few on 211 still need to be cleaned up – if you find any straggler manholes etc. in the field, please let me know.
- Generally, utilities from 4 eastbound on 211 are still shaky.
- Storm is about halfway done.
- Water distribution cleanup is next priority. Valves, mains, and hydrants should be clean by late June.
These files are constantly under construction so if something looks off on these maps, it probably is. Please ask and we can work it correct!

Hey all,
I’m taking the plunge into step 1 of making the utilities data that I’ve been compiling more available to our staff. You can find Google Earth files for water, sewer, and storm located here. From the subfolders, double click on any file and it will open in Google Earth (if the program is installed on your computer.) Once the files are loaded, you can click on features and see information for those features.
These files are in draft form so for now I’m mostly putting them out there for exploration purposes. Within the next few weeks I’ll tidy up the files so things such as excess fields (various ID fields) and extraneous notes for my purposes no longer show up. When that is done, I would like to give a brief training to acquaint everyone with the program, explain what the data is and where it is good/incomplete, and answer any questions.
