When there is a high level alarm, all 3 pumps are programmed to kick on at

maximum capacity.

Normal operations: 2 pumps operate, with the 3rd pump as a backup. The

pumps are rotated on a schedule for PM.

Bill - good summary.

Jennifer - it would be good to know if all three pumps typically operate

concurrently, or if one and/or two turn on typically and the third is a

backup. We need to be sure that the pumping system is capable of

delivering the volume we've estimated in the time shown on the strip

chart.

Thanks,

D. Laffitte

Jennifer,

What we would like to know is how many gallons per hour (or gallons per

minute) the transfer pumps can pump to lagoon 1.

I estimated in the memo that pump event #1 pumped 203,740 gal to lagoon 1.

The strip chart shows that happened in a short amount of time too.

If we know the pump capacities (gpm or gph), we would like to check how

long it would take to pump that many gallons, as a cross-check.

My understanding is that there are three pumps too.

Dan, please chime-in if there is additional information that you need.

Bill

I'm assuming you're looking for HP rating?

Jennifer,

We are going through some internal QA/QC at BC regarding the memo I wrote

for estimating the amount of release into Bear Creek.

One question that has come up is the capacity of the transfer pumps to

pump wastewater from the AB to lagoon 1. Can you please provide that

information when possible? Thanks.
