We are going on the road again this fall and will be offering several Roads Scholar classes, and we need your help! We are looking for agencies that are willing to host a class at their location. The facilities need to comfortably seat 40 people. What’s the benefit to you? You can choose the dates and times that are convenient for your agency. Most of all, it reduces the travel time for your employees to attend! WEST SIDE We will be offering these four classes on the west side of Oregon. These classes will take place over a two-day period. We hope to offer these classes in five different locations. · RS-5 Asphalt Maintenance 1 · RS-6 Asphalt Maintenance 2 · RS-7 Effective Communication Skills · RS-8 Environmental Best Management Practices 2 STATEWIDE We will be offering RS-12 Workplace Safety Training 2 statewide. Guidelines for Temporary Traffic Control The first half of this spiral-bound, laminated pocket guide covers the very basic, step-by-step duties of inspecting various key maintenance activities, such as plant mix bituminous paving, concrete paving, plant, culvert pipe installation, storm sewer installation, grading, etc. The second portion contains numerous maintenance tables for determining quantities and distances for common maintenance tasks, such as gallons of asphalt required per mile for various rates of application. Inspector’s Job Guide and Highway Maintenance Tables This spiral-bound, laminated pocket guide covers standard temporary traffic control (TTC) devices, application guidelines, and diagrams of typical use. Also contains information on proper flagging and maintenance of TTC devices. Based on the 2009 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Part 6.
