Thank you Nicolas, I will take a look at this info. In the meantime, take a look at this drawing of the plan. A verbal description of the job is the following:

* Soil Installation

* Fill large low area with soil (delivered from Highway Fuel) and level area out.

* Downspout drain:

* Install 4" ABS pipe to existing pipe from downspout.
* Install elbow and daylight down back slope

* Drainage area:

* Trench out area discussed approx. 20ft by 2.5 wide
* Trench will be dug approx. 1 ft deep
* Install 3" perforated drain pipe with sock and daylight out back slope

Reading between the lines a bit here, but I think this idea will work as long as there is no undue burden upon the drainage-way on the railroad property.
