Hi Ronald,
I apologize on behalf of the City there was no response in result of your request. I also appreciate your friendly email. I don’t think people realize how far that can go.
I believe the reason Marc never responded was due to the fact Lakota Lane is a private drive. The City does not sign private drives. However that does not excuse the reason for not getting back to you. As neighborhood if you would like to purchase the sign and post, the City would be willing to install the sign.
Please let me know how you would like to proceed. Also feel free to call or email.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Cline, P.E.

Subject: street sign
Dear Jennifer,
My name is Ronald Slack and I live at 685 Lakota Lane here in Molalla.
I'm writing you about the fact that my street, Lakota Lane does not have any official street sign. The current sign is home made and is in poor condition. Lakota Lane was on the city map when my wife and I moved here about 13 years ago. New signs have appeared along Toliver for other new streets through the years but not here. I consider this not only an inconvenience for those trying to come here but a possible safety issue if emergency service were called for any of the residences along our street.
I made this effort for a street sign a few years ago with the previous director Marc. He acknowledged the issue and said he would have his foreman take care of it. But nothing happened and repeated attempts to reach him failed, I believe his E-mail was full.
I know you must be busy with many other worthy projects but I would appreciate a response to this request by E-mail or phone call. My home phone number is 503-829-2910. I thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Ron Slack
