Attachments: image001.png; We can look at both cost options. My concern is the theft with the solar panels since it’s in such a remote location. It’s really easy to get a service request and quote for power from PGE once we know what type of service is needed (?V and amp?). I’m leaning towards power tho. If we want to consider PGE power would we want to coordinate this with PGE ourselves or have Portland Engineering do it? Let me know what you think would be best. With that transformer being so close to the site it would probably be cheaper and better to drop in a utility meter and small panel for distribution. This could be a wood pole with a meter and panel power being strung overhead. Or, it could be a concrete pad with a meter and panel set on the pad and the power in conduit from the pole to the pad. We would probably look to install a small control panel and drop a pressure transmitter into a stilling well with a lid. It looks like the stream flows could be estimated fairly well at that location, but of course a parshall flume would be better. Can you review the possibility of using utility power as an option at that location or would you like PEI to do that? We need an estimate for installing a monitoring station on trout creek here in Molalla Oregon. We would need the ability to track creek flow levels in cfs or stream level and be able to access the data online. There currently is no power at the location but there is a telephone pedestal if that helps, we may have to look into solar power. We need a proposal to send to the State of Oregon Water Resources Division. The State would need to approve our equipment/plan before we could move forward. I have attached some pics of the location and creek. Please let me know if you would need more information. Ryan Hepler City of Molalla Water Treatment Operator 503-829-5408
