Great idea - if the paper did a story you could highlight your safety work as the key motivator!

Be safe

We will certainly have a discussion on how to inform the public of the changes.

I’m thinking a city public notice on our webpage and in the newspaper may be the best idea.

Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for forwarding this speed zone recommendation to me. The recommended changes look good to me and reflect the growth of Molalla. Will your PD help with educating the users about the changes?

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Be safe.

Joe

Hi Joe,

I’m not sure if ODOT has shared the attached speed study results with you, as portion of the results are in the County’s jurisdiction.

I agree with the recommend speed limit reductions. Please let me know your thoughts.

Please let me know if the speed zone recommendation is acceptable. If it is, a speed zone order will be issued and a copy sent to you. If it is not acceptable, the matter can be presented at the next hearing held to decide contested speed zones.

Please respond within 60 days (by 7/1/2016) to odotspeedzoning@odot.state.or.us.
