Small chance.
We should have the contractor place a score line at that location. One, it will look a little artsy. Two, if there is settlement, we can control where the crack is.

Is there any concern with cracking in the sidewalk at the break between the wall and subgrade due to settlement?

See attached.
The intent is to have a 7' sidewalk at Sta. 23+72.50. Narrow to 6.5' at Sta. 23+77.50. maintain 6.5' to Sta. 24+13.50. Widen back to 7.0' at Sta.
24+20.25. The taper points and total widths are shown on sheet PP)4, but
not the sidewalk widths. Those are shown on TS01.
WL01
The blocks that were used as an example during design had the option of 2 vertical holes in the cap block that could be used for fence posts. That is why the layout shows grout tubes. If the blocks arrive on Thursday with no holes, then bolting a base to the cap will work as an alternate.
The designers intent was to pour the sidewalk up to the face of the fence to keep from having a 4" drop off between the sidewalk and the fence.
