Subject: Shrine in Library Park

Mayor and Council - I had our Public Works Staff remove a shrine located in the park just east of the Library today. The shrine was put up to remember a young man that recently died of a heroin overdose in this vicinity. Certain problems have been increasing such as the beer cans, whiskey bottles and periodically packs of cigarettes being left at the site. We have kept things that are claimable in a box located at City Hall.
