Subject: Sewer lateral inspection
Mitch,
I spoke with Jennifer about getting you a letter for Clackamas County. I confirmed that Dennis did indeed inspect your connection, as is standard for new sewer connections. However, the City didn’t and does not inspect the lateral itself (the portion on private property). Thus, if the County is requesting a letter stating we inspected the connection to the main, then I am happy to provide one, but I unfortunately can’t provide a letter stating we inspected the lateral in its entirety.
A condition of the planning permit that you acquired from the City states that you obtain valid county permits and abide by the conditions of those permits. This is to say that this inspection is at the request of the building authority, the County, and not the City. We are unaware of any building permit processes, standards and conditions and do not provide aid as such.
Please let me know when I can be of further help.
