Hi Mike,

The policy does state that Clackamas county will provide 500 bags and sand if we respond before September 1st, but then goes on to state..

· Host cities/fire districts will ensure access to the sites for county residents from both incorporated and unincorporated areas. Sand and sandbags are to be provided free of charge.

· The host city/fire district is responsible for storing and monitoring supplies. If supplies are nearing depletion the Site Representative will advise Emergency Management at (503) 655-8378, so that public information can be updated as quickly as possible. The County, in cooperation with the cities and special districts, will determine how long the site will be maintained based on current conditions and weather forecasts.

No I had no idea. In the past, Clackamas County has had bags and sand delivered to Bohlander Field. I know nothing about the city or fire district being responsible for supplies. I have forwarded this e-mail string to Chief Stafford for his input. Do you know anything about this Chief?? See attachment

Mike

Hi Mike,

Is Molalla Fire aware of this? I noticed neither the fire department or myself was contacted in the original email below.

According to the attached policy the City (Public Works) and the Fire Department are responsible for managing the sand bags.

Boss, I’m not sure who is handling the sandbag project. In the past, I think Joyce kind of coordinated our involvement but Peggy doesn’t know. Maybe you know. I stopped by Jennifer’s office but she wasn’t in. I’m guessing the PW guys handle it, but I don’t want to poke my nose in where it doesn’t belong. The email just came to me so I’m just trying to make the right connection.

Good morning,

I’m looking through our records and I do not see a form from Molalla. Sarah Mazzi, our temp that was working on this is no longer with us so I am following up. Have you stocked your sand/sandbag site? Please do so and return the form at the end of the policy.

Thank you,

Jamie
