Fantastic! We are actually out there right now. We tried to reschedule the drilling apparatus when we realized we may not have this permit today, however they’re booked out for the next two months and our client is in a real estate transaction. So we decided to get permission from the homeowners to sample on the properties instead. Which is basically what we were trying to avoid by getting the ROW permit, but there ya go! Thankfully our client’s real estate agent stepped up and went door to door for us.

We’ve informed our technicians that they now have permission to sample in the ROW, but they may opt to stay on the actual properties at this point. Feel free to swing by and take a look at the operation whenever you’d like, and thank you for all of your time and assistance in this! This project has been a bit of a nail biter for us.

Good afternoon you two!

Here is our permit for collecting groundwater samples from 224 S Sweigle Ave. As I mentioned in a voicemail I left for Jennifer, our scope of work has changed. Soil conditions will not allow us to manually reach our target depths. So we intend to use a compact drilling apparatus to get through this rocky soil. We don’t believe it would be necessary to divert traffic or even close the sidewalk for this operation. We will not be going through the sidewalk, rather we intend to sample from the green strip between the street and the sidewalk.

Additionally we will likely need to collect similar samples from the other side of E 3^rd St as well. 222 E 3^rd St and 224 E 3^rd St are the most likely candidates. A Utility locate request has been placed for all properties we may be sampling. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
