Blanks for the plaques will need to be provided to the City prior to the sidewalk work. I believe Jim provided these blanks previously.

I actually think you all can have a positive effect on education and/or a publication of some sort. Maybe the donations could be used for that process.

As far as the blanks I will need to defer that question to Jennifer Cline. She is out today but will be in tomorrow.

Thank you so much for the update.

I will read your email to the board tonight.

Regarding the funding we have people ready to donate money to help make signs if needed. If I read your message correctly, it sounds like that will not be necessary. We will see if we can use the donation for other ideas.

The improvements going in on Molalla ave also include the sidewalk. Are there enough Walk of Fame blanks for the plaques?

Hi Connie – We currently have newer Public Parking Signs located on Ross Street identifying the parking area north and south of Ross behind City Hall and adjacent to the Masonic Lodge as Public Parking. We do have restrictions on the first bank of Parking behind City Hall for City use between 7:30am -5:30 pm. I am not sure what “fund signage” means but we have additional signs going in as part of the Molalla Avenue project. But that will not occur until later in the project. People really need to learn to read the signs that are posted. The Chamber could be helpful in getting that point across. I went for a quick walk before e-mailing you back and saw one of Deardorf’s tenants who complained about parking in the wrong place at a City Council meeting get into their vehicle that was parked right under one of our signs that has the reservation on there. People just need to be educated somehow. Parking problems are a good thing if you consider that people are Downtown.

Molalla Avenue – I think it is going to take people a little time to figure out their detour routes. They will start using Center more. We kind of need to see where the problem areas will be and then act on those issues. One problem is that the restrictions will change periodically.

We are not quite sure about affecting the Parade Route. Even though the contract specifically states that the contractor needs to be completely out of the way before the 4th weekend, we need to see where we are with things like gravel, steel plates, etc., We are pinning the contractor down at this point so we can provide good information.

Hi, I heard that the city has some public parking signs made to help let people know where to park. The Chamber has had folks offer to help fund signage to designate public parking areas. Can you give me an update to share at our board meeting tonight?

Just a FYI, with Molalla Ave. construction people are using the parking lot by the chamber office as a street. Making walking by the area hazardous.

Oh, one more question, will construction affect our parade route this year.

Thank you
