Attachments: image001.jpg; Hi Leo, I recommend using the North Marion Recycling & Transfer Station, if they are allowed to take the Silica and Anthracite media. This is outside Metro and the fees are considerably less expensive to dump. http://www.co.marion.or.us/PW/ES/disposal/nmrts.htm If the media is considered to be hazardous or etc., it may need to go to Hillsboro Landfill. Keep in mind we are outside the Metro boundary for applicable rates: http://wmnorthwest.com/landfill/landfillcities/hillsboro/canddoutside.html Regards, Jennifer Cline, P.E. We are a Mechanical Contractor in Salt Lake City, UT and we are bidding a project at the Molalla Water Treatment facility thru Westech industries. We are quoting to remove the Filter Media from the Gravity Filters and replace it with new Media. We need to remove the Silica and Anthracite media and dispose of it. Where would you recommend that we could dispose of this media. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We don’t want to dispose of anything illegally. I look forward to your replay in this matter.
