Attachments: RE: Water usage for Ice Plant; image002.png; Hi Nicolas, Yes and I believe we already looked at this for 18,000 gallons per day. The conclusion was that this business would not adversely impact the City’s water supply. I attached the emails previously discussing the issue as well. Hi Nicolas, I sent Jennifer some water use information. Based on the numbers you attached, they would use about 420,788 gallons per month or 14,025 gallons per day assuming a 30 day month. Hi all, I have been talking with a gentleman who wants to open an ice plant in the city. First, he was looking at Ed Campy’s property, but I advised that he should be looking for industrially zoned property (Ed’s is zoned C2). He’s found a suitable site, which we’re somewhat familiar with at 201 Dixon, owned by Fred Hozen. What I am wondering is, before we get this ball rolling, do we have the water capacity? I’ve attached a brief description of his intentions with the development, as well as a preliminary site plan. This proposal would require a public hearing and site design review process, but before we have a pre-application hearing or let anything go further, I want to make sure we could support the business if it were to succeed. The attached description has some numbers regarding water usage: 56,250 ft2 between June and September, and it could expand pending business. Let me know your thoughts; if this is something we can support I will schedule a sit-down with the City and gather some more information for us to consider.
