Hi Mike,
Regarding your voicemail, I don’t expect anyone from the county to ned a permit in the City. However, I wanted to clarify that we actually have a permit. I have found where contractors have called the county and have been told they don’t need one, and then proceed with work in our ROW without contacting us.
This is probably due to confusion between the building permit office or the planning department on who oversees what work in the City limits. Since the City has taken planning back over, we have been working over the last few months to clear up any confusion, redirecting phone numbers and update contact information.
