Quick update...

Jason was not able to find a used diesel engine compatible for our needs.

The supplier is out of the engine we need, but can get one in a couple days for approx.. $6000. I will order this as soon as you give us the approval. We did find out that this engine is 30% more efficient, thus using less diesel in the long run.

Hi Dan

Jason informed me this morning the engine that was rebuilt prior to our time here currently in the old big gun has failed. We had switched the previous engine out that failed last season this hoping to get ahead on maintenance.

Jason is contacting a few places to check on a new engine, estimated to cost between $5-6K. He is also contacting a reputable Deisel engine in Woodburn to see if there might be a engine available that will fit.

In order to get ahead on irritating and minimize using hand lines, we will need to purchase the engine ASAP with your approval. And whether you have a preference on new vs old.
