Attachments: image001.jpg; My only concern on the well is that they are not exceeding their permitted Maximum Rate/Volume 0.22 cf/s. I received a call earlier this year from a nearby resident in the county that said her well was going dry and was interested in City water services. http://apps.wrd.state.or.us/apps/wr/wrinfo/wr_folder_image.aspx?snp_id=146896 Jennifer Cline, P.E. | Public Works Director Licensed in OR, WA 117 N Molalla Ave. | PO Box 248 * |Molalla, OR 97038 O: 503.759.0218 | F: 503.829.3676 From: Nicolas Lennartz [mailto:nlennartz@cityofmolalla.com] Sent: Friday, November 13, 2015 9:12 AM To: Jennifer Cline <jcline@cityofmolalla.com> Subject: RE: New Hot Pressure Washer Pad No I wasn’t aware. To my knowledge well water can be used for non-potable uses outside of any dwellings or structures, but I can double check with Clackamas County, they would know for sure. It was OK’ed by the city long ago. We use it for process water only. Covering the wash pad would be too expensive for this use. We’ll look to discharge into the stormwater then. However, I have a bigger concern with an open pad draining to the sanitary system. An open drain allows rain and storm water to flow directly to the treatment plant which is considered an Infiltration/Inflow (I/I) violation. The wash, if permitted, would definitely need to be covered and designed to flow storm water away from the pad. Second, I am also concerned that your well has not been decommissioned. Unless you property is in the county, I believe you are required to be connected only to City water services. The offices are closed today for Veteran’s Day, so I will discuss your questions with Nicholas tomorrow. We propose to use an oil/water separation system and discharge the remaining effluent to the city’s sanitary sewer system. We also propose to use our well water system to supply the needed water for this, so the only demand on city resources would be the discharge from this wash pad via the oil/water separator. We anticipate the use to be 0 to 7 washes/month; so not a heavy demand. Would this be an allowable use? If not, what would we need to do to make it so? Mitch Jorgensen, Pres.
