For Dropbox – we would be using DB Business, which would be $75/mo with a 5 user plan. This would certainly be adequate in terms of space as space is unlimited.

Myself, and our IT Manager, Lance, use Dropbox on a regular basis and haven’t ever had any issues. Similar to banks, and the xpressbilpay site that the City uses, Dropbox uses a Certificate driven secured website with Encryption. As with anything with a login, however, your data is only as secure as your password.

After reviewing your needs, our best recommendation would be to use a service such as Dropbox. The free version allows you to create folders on your computer that are stored locally as well as in the Cloud and you can send a secure link to the file via email that can be shared privately with others. If you would like Password protected links and over the base 2GB storage capacity, the Pro and Business options are available also.

Hi,

At times we need to send large files and scans to folks who cannot accept files larger than 3MB or 10MB through email.

What can we use that will allow us to share files more readily?

I’ve have used a trial for the Citrix FileShare program, which works well with sending a link. However if you purchase the program I hear it will automatically use FileShare for files over 3MB which can become a nuisance and I would like a choice.

Any recommendations?
