Subject: neighbor locations on map

Jason (and Jennifer),

I don’t know if you have done personal home visits yet but if not, there are a couple of updates based on phone calls that I had with two of the neighbors today.

· Home #1 and #2 on the attached map

o Home #1 is where Bill Tomko and his wife live (just north of the field on the west side of HW 213). This field is accessed off Dryland Rd and you may recall that access to this field is poor. The existing access will not work for 6000 gal tanker trucks unless it was widened quite a bit.

o Mr. Tomko has concerns about his well and a few other things too (he was not happy with how Canby applications took place a few years ago, there were odors, his wife became nauseous, etc).

o Knowing that this field is low priority because of access limitations, and also knowing that Ralph Piuser has plenty of other fields available for City biosolids, I told Mr. Tomko that (for now) we will not include the field just south of his house.

o I said that I would also review things with the City and Ralph Piuser but for right now, he could go on the assumption that the City would not seek authorization of that field and that I would call him back (and probably meet with him) if that changed.

o He was happy to hear this and that’s how we left things.

o Please let me know if you see things differently. At this point, I still think we need to see how many neighbor calls (with potential objections) that we receive. Most of the comments should arrive within two weeks of the letters being distributed. At that time, we can evaluate where we are at and if we want to make any special efforts to authorize certain fields, etc.

o But as far as personal home visits, there is no need to visit with homes #1 or #2 right now. Home #2 is not needed because it was associated with the field south of Mr. Tomko’s

· Home #9

o I believe this is the home of John Johansen (JJ) and Judith Gage, but I am not 100% certain. Please be aware of this when you make the site visit.

o JJ called me back later today and after talking with a geologist friend of his, and he decided that he was ok with the proposed applications.
