Hello Jennifer. Thank you for sending me the user manual for your pHix compact pH & Redox transmitter.

Regarding the transmitter equipment itself, I have the following question and recommendation:

· Which electrode(s) did you get (refer to the user manual, p. 7)?

· Regarding maintenance/calibration, pay particular attention to the user manual maintenance section, p. 21. You may find that to get consistent, accurate results, you may have to calibrate more frequently than once a week, due to the low quality nature of the influent.

Regarding the transmitter location, please send me a sketch map of where specifically at the headworks, you intend to mount it. I would prefer both plan and elevation views of the mounting location. Also, describe the mounting method (refer to user manual, pp. 10 – 12).

Thank you.

Hello Jennifer. Thanks for the data table and comparison graph.

Please give me a schematic and/or verbal description of exactly where and how you plan to install the pH meter at the headworks. What is the make and model of the instrument? Also, what are the manufacturer’s recommendations regarding calibration frequency when the meter is used for continuous measurements? Thank you.

Hi David,

The City will be moving forward with the permanent installation of the pH probe at the Headworks for continuous monitoring. As you can see in the attached .pdf the pH meter values are tracking very close to the grab sample pH value. If you have any comment or questions before we move forward with the permanent installation, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Cline, P.E.
