Hi James- The waterline connection will need to be inspected by the City priory to cover. This includes a pressure test along with a coliform and bacteria testing. There is a lab in Tigard. The contractor should know the requirements.

However, You also will need to contact the OHA if you haven't done so for an approval for the line prior to installation of your engineer has not done so already. Please provide proof of the approval along with a set of plans for review by the City that included the easement.

The work can be done on the weekend at your property. however the inspection of the connection and pressure test must be done when we are available M-F.

What about inspection for the installation on our property? It could be an important element, especially if we do work on a weekend.

Hi James,

The City’s water system fluctuates around 80 psi at your location. I would suggest having your engineer re-run the calculations, but it’s definitely above 35 psi.

I believe you should have received this memo attached from our engineers clarifying the basis for the 16” line. Please review and let me know if you have additional comments / questions. We are planning to start laying the line on our property when we get the materials, possible as early as next week. Once we select a contractor, we will get a right-of-way application submitted along with a traffic plan in for review / approval so we can tie into the water main on Shaver Ave. We will proceed with the project on our property ASAP after materials arrive. If you have any concerns with that approach, please let me know at your earliest convenience. Will you need to inspect the line on our property? The contractor may do the work on our property on a weekend so I will need to know that as well. Paving will begin shortly so we need to move on this project ASAP as it will hold up the paving phase within a few days.
