Hello Jennifer

Thank you for sending this. Is there anything else at the plant that directs staff about what to do in the event of a release?

As we discussed today, you’ve identified that a different kind of plan more specific to releases from the plant or collection system is in order. I reviewed the plan that you attached and it is not very detailed. Please review the current NPDES permit (several sections of permit pertain to this plan and notifications) and craft a plan that covers what to do in the event of a release and who to notify (staff, DEQ, public, other agencies, etc) and how.

David Cole is available to review drafts.

I will be out of the office beginning at noon Thursday, May 21^st and returning by 8am on Tuesday, May 26^th. Steve Mrazik (503 229-5379) will be the acting Manager for me. I would prefer to answer any questions you have after I return but if you need Steve or David, please do contact them.

We have received a public records request for the current emergency plan and will be filing that today. It is possible that you will receive further questions as a result.
