Jennifer – Attached are the electronic copies of the signed contract documents, bonds, and insurance. We just received the hard copies and will mail them to City for signatures.
1. Payment bond – Bond is issued for the bid amount and signatures appear to be in order.
2. Performance bond – Bond is issued for the bid amount and signatures appear to be in order.
3. Worker’s compensation – The form appears to be in order. It expires on 10/1/2016 so we will need to confirm that it gets renewed at that time.
4. Contract – Signatures appear to be in order.
5. Certificate of insurance – The contractor doesn’t have the exact limits requested, however they do have an $8 million umbrella policy which does cover all the limits requested. The City should review this to confirm that this is acceptable.
6. Certificate of insurance – we note that the certificate states that coverage expires 3/1/2016, which is this coming Tuesday. We will ask ML Houck for an updated certificate showing insurance coverage beyond that date. I will forward those to you when available.
We do recommend that the City perform your own review of the contract, bonds and insurance prior to signing.
We are also open on March 10th for the pre-construction meeting.
