Hello Jennifer. Are there any plans to fix the leaky City drinking water pipe in the South Coleman field, near the watering troughs? I’m concerned that this is a bad situation from two perspectives: (1) wasting water during drought conditions, and (2) the potential for cross contamination.

Hi David,
Coleman is no longer using river water to irrigate with hand lines on his property. We have switched the valves back over to allow watering with hand lines. As of yesterday, Coleman has not utilized the hand lines to irrigate with the City’s recycled water.
Yesterday we noticed Coleman has a leaky pipe that is fed by City drinking water in South Coleman field in Section 7 near where we are irrigating with one of the big guns today. The leaking pipe has caused ponding near the watering troughs. This ponding is not a result of irrigation from the big gun.
We are working on wrapping up the changes requested on the ERP. I expect to have the Final Draft to you very soon.
Biosolids removal is planned to begin Sept. 8th.
