Hi Jennifer et al...,

Nina here, responding. I have a couple of interests in getting together. First and foremost, to meet you, Dan and any other City representatives you'd like to include in the discussion! Second, over the years I have worked with different local governments, when there is turnover in staff and electeds I have found it beneficial to have meetings to hear concerns directly and to talk about issues when there aren't specific "houses on fire," if that makes sense. Third, to my knowledge, DEQ has several different current intersects with the City, namely, clean up, waste water, storm water and our TMDL program. I understand from one of my other water quality managers, Steve Mrazik, that he and Karen Williams recently met with you and had a good discussion. Finally, while DEQ is a regulatory agency, I also consider us to be a resource, especially if your council has questions or concerns and would like us to come to an upcoming meeting. I have participated in such gatherings in the past and it seems to work well in most communities.

Please let me know if you would like to talk further prior to an in person meeting. I look forward to getting together soon!

Thanks,

Nina

Good morning – Nina DeConcini, DEQ Northwest Regional Administrator and Tiffany Yelton-Bram, NWR WQ Source Control Section Manager, would like to set up a meeting with you to discuss ongoing DEQ work with the City of Molalla. They both have time the morning of Tuesday, February 17th from 8-12… would this timeslot work with your schedule? They would like to come to your location, if that will work for you. Please let me know if there are better dates/times and I’ll get this put on both of their calendars. As the date approaching, Nina and Tiffany will send over Agenda items.

Thanks so much for all you help!
