Hi Rob,

I will discuss the options with Garrett tomorrow and let you know which option we proceed with.

Thanks!

Jenn,

Sorry for the late reply, I’ve had a couple deadlines.

So to recap, here’s the steps that have been taken:

1. Swapped out sensors, same problem with differences between the real-time readings and the flow meter readings.

2. Swapped out loggers, same problem per Garrett’s e-mail yesterday morning.

Sometime we just get strange sites. That site I recall had a wider flow channel through the manhole so as the flow spreads out and goes more shallow, the velocity would go up. But that makes it very difficult to calibrate and trust the readings. Ideally we could move to another location (the map shows 4 manholes that could be possible candidates; would the next downstream manhole be off of 213?).

I would suggest moving it to another site if possible. If not, then I would recommend we recalibrate the level using the most recent air gap measurements, but do not adjust the velocity.

Weather’s predicting a decent rain event on Thursday. How are the rest of the meters performing?

Hi Rob,

Here is an update from Garrett. Looks like it is the location. Do we want to go with pre-set offsets? Or do we look for another location?

I want to avoid OR 213 locations. We would need to request a permit from ODOT on have concerns with the safety of our crew working on the shoulders.

Any suggestions?

Subject: Meadowlawn Logger

Hello,

We just switched out sewer loggers at our meadowlawn, resulting in the same problem. I don’t really understand why this is happening, I would like to speak with Rob on this. I do not have any of his contact info, could you please provide me with his contact.

Thanks
