I’ve also included the Job Description to better assist with determining his job knowledge, skill and abilities. Rule of thumb is satisfactory means you’re doing your job. Not bad work or exceptional work just meeting expectations in the job description. Need improvement means you’ve had to address the same issues or correct the work consistently. Unsatisfactory is typically insubordination and other major issues along those lines. Either of these categories means a verbal warning may have been given or a letter of reprimand was issued. Nothing in evaluation should catch the person by surprise. Let me know if you have any questions. I would like the reviews returned to me by February 19th. A short sit down will be scheduled the week after.
