4 inch by 8 ft treated wood posts set next to each hydrant and valve. They bend the t posts over. We have some orange paint we will use to make them stand out more.

Hi Jon, Thank you for the update.
If you don’t mind me asking, are you planning to use to mark the hydrants? Is it something the cows will eat?
Also, what will you be purchasing to do the leak detection test? Is this on the lagoons? Or irrigation system? Is this something the crew can help with?

Hey Jen,
Since I couldn’t make it to the meeting yesterday I wanted to catch you up.
We shut down the irrigation yesterday morning due to the heavy rains.
We need to replace a bunch of hydrant stems in the field at Coleman Ranch. They are rusted out and often break when we open them in the field. This is the perfect time to change them all because we are shut down. We need about 30 replacements. That will cost 570 dollars. We also need to buy some supplies for marking the hydrants in Coleman’s field so we can find them easier in the tall grass. That will cost about 800 dollars.
The stuff to do the leak detection test costs about 3300 dollars.
I am still looking into the constant monitoring pH and river temp.
Jon
