Project Title:

TSP Update

Description of Issue:

The current TSP was created in 2001. The City, adding 3,000+ residents since 2001 and annexing a significant amount of land, has grown in various and unanticipated ways making the TSP obsolete. The City is currently in the process of updating the development code in its entirety (with the help of a TGM grant), and feel that an updated TSP would compliment this new code. The TSP would also guide improvements to Highway 211 as ODOT funding becomes available in the next 2 years, making the most of this opportunity for the city to improve a major arterial. Plans are also in place to develop a multi-use path between the downtown and the poorly connected subdivisions to the northwest. This TSP update would help guide the process by which the city improves pedestrian and multi-modal connectivity across the city; a glaring deficiency in our current community.

Project Objectives/Expected Outcomes:

An updated TSP with the following: - Accurate road designations - Accurate street plans - Updated intersection plans - Updated connectivity plans - Street improvement priority list - Road ownership information - Traffic volumes reflective of current levels - Public Transit system information - Accurate existing conditions and future conditions analysis - Updated Alternatives Analysis - Transportation funding plan Above all, the goal is to have a document that reflects current community trends in growth. This document would be useful in day-to-day planning and public works activities, and would be a tool at our disposal to expedite and improve development projects.

Estimated Budget:

$55,000.00
