Mr. Simpson,

 

I am hoping to have some questions answered as to maintenance on a property owned by Union Pacific here in Molalla, OR. I have recently began talks with a representative of UP regarding the construction of a public-use trail on the site, but have some other more pressing concerns as well.

 

The property, while not a formal creek, functions as a drainage ditch and alleviates flooding problems in several areas along the corridor. Currently the drainage itself is being impacted by over-vegetation, and maintenance of this property as per the Molalla Development Code is the obligation of the private owner. Do you know how I would go about requesting maintenance on this property to address these concerns?
