Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure we signed it No Trucks and not

Service Vehicles Only because of the failed roadway. So yes, in that case

we could issue citations. Sorry for any confusion.

I went up Wedgewood this afternoon to look into this. I spoke to one of the

dump truck drivers who said he knew about the no trucks issue and was using

Mary Drive. There were no other workers or truckers in the area at the

time, so I kindly asked this trucker to spread the word to the other drivers

and the project foremans. I told them we wanted compliance and avoid

citations but with citizen complaints coming in, cites are a possibility.

That said, one of the problems is that there are different truckers coming

in all the time because as the projects mature, the vendors change. The

bottom line is that development is going to be finished before long and it

will all be over. Until then the PD will try to give it some attention as

time allows.

Well we may want to think about putting out additional signage to help the

construction crews. Something to brainstorm....

I will put out this info. I know Officer Call went out and spoke to one of

the owner/drivers last week who said he would use another route. Obviously

any new drivers unfamiliar with the area coming into the area at different

construction stages are probably going to wonder how to get in and out of

the construction site and be frustrated. We will ask the officers to go by.

Chief I think this one is yours. Jen, I believe we have signage up as you

turn onto the Wedgewood about truck access is not permitted, correct?

I will let you 2 figure out who will respond to her. Dan this is just an FYI

for you.

Thanks,

Sadie

Question/Comment: Who do I contact about dump trucks going down Wedgewood

dr? Last year the road needed patching because if all the big rigs, now

there are signs up stating no trucks. I just saw two use Wedgewood and this

is the third time in a week. Who can I report this to? Thank you
