Hi Daniel,
The Molalla WWTP is a lagoon system. A lagoon system is capable of primary and secondary treatment of wastewater. The lagoons work by allowing naturally occurring bacteria (good bugs) a long period of time to break down wastewater.
Does that help?

Subject: Follow-up questions
Hi Jennifer:
It was great meeting with you this morning. It’s going to be a good story. So, I’m going to start an email strain here with follow-up questions and clarifications as I go through the recording.
First, you mentioned you had to familiarize yourself with how the plant operated. If someone were to ask “what kind of wastewater treatment plant is it?” how do you answer that question? What is the official name for the type of system used? I know it’s bug based but I don’t know the correct term.
Thanks,
Daniel Pearson
