Subject: RE: Event Application / Sept 20 MoTown Walk for the Cure-- Opening Molalla Forest Rd -- Follow-up
Importance: Normal
Although I support community events, I have a few comments….
How are they going to ensure pedestrians safely can cross 5th St. and S Molalla Ave? What are our typical requirements for these large walker/runner events? Also the walk is on Saturday which means this is an OT charge to Public works if it falls outside of a 4 hour block of time. The gates will be opened at 8AM and closed by Noon.
I’m assuming the Waiver of Liability going to be signed by each participant. Is this waiver acceptable?
I don’t see any emergency service comments. Has fire or the chief seen the application?

HI All...
Just following up --have not heard back on "approval" for the event application
or verifying that the gates on Molalla Forest Road would be open from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. next Saturday - Sept 20th. (Submitted on 8/21/14)
So -- attached is the application form, map, flyer we use to advertise the event -- AND (not in earlier email) .. a WAIVER OF LIABILITY form that we will have ALL participants sign at registration. (IMDS has asked for this type of liability waiver -- so we included all land/property owners)
SO -- please verify if there is anything additional needed -- and if the gates on Molalla Forest Road will be opened for the walkers, strollers, bicycles, etc.
THANK YOU .... Carol
