Option M actually removes the impact of a break between the driveway and approach since the elevation change will primarily occur in the front 1 foot of the approach.

Hi Jenn,

We need to be careful about having a break in the driveway, We only have one foot to spare as ADA requires 4 feet of clear path at 2%. I really don’t see the benefit??

Subject: Driveways

Hi Hassan,

Here are the driveways we may be making modifications to. In addition, I would like to recommend using the ODOT Type M standard for all the driveways. This will allow us to have less impacts private property behind the sidewalk approach, see attached .pdf.
