Subject: Cryptolocker Virus
All – We averted a scare yesterday with the Cryptolocker Virus. The virus was working through our GIS files and MCC was able to restore those files before the virus found its way to other city files. We do not know where or what computer this came from and all we know it was a computer that was shut-off around 4:00pm on Wednesday January 20th. We were lucky this time so I want to remind you all to be careful – especially with Facebook on city computers.
