Here are some projects to be done in 2016-2017.
1. Filter #1 media removal and replacement. The estimated cost was approximately $45,000.
2. Replace obsolete chemical feed pumps and related equipment for Filter #3 and #4. Cost est. $15,000.
3. Install a Streamflow Gauging Station at Trout Creek and move forward with transferring the water right from Trout Creek to the Molalla River.
4. Upgrade the Pipe Gallery for the Old Plant (filter #3 and #4). This would include replacing the control valves, effluent pumps, surface wash pump, replace or rebuild backwash pump, repair or replace effluent piping that has been corroded by the chlorine injection port, and include a filter-to-waste pipe, valves and controls.
5. We need to look into groundwater options. Explore the possibility of drilling a well down near the pump station or inside the City.
6. Repair or replace our Alternate Intake. The “Vern Valve” piping is not giving us the water output in the winter when needed. We use this when the river has very high turbidity (usually 5-6 times in the Fall and Winter) or when our intake screens are plugged our otherwise inoperable.
