The company that came out and cleaned it before showed me that as an option. That way there is no digging and major road repair. I was planning on giving you a call back later today after dealing with some emergency issues on hand at this time. However, I have a quick break and saw your email. Unfortunately the lateral sewer line from your home is the responsibility of the home owner to repair from the residence to the main, including the connection. In order to make any repairs in the street, yourself or a contractor will need to obtain a Work in Right of way permit. When you’re ready for a contractor to make the repairs, please stop by the City and Nicolas or I can help you with the permit. I hope this answers your questions. We had this problem early in the year and had a roto rooter company come snake the line and they also did a video inspection. They found the blockage 84 feet down the line from our toilet which they traced to almost the middle of the street. The video head had a transponder on it and they used a locator to mark the spot. It appears there is some cracking at the connection point allowing a root wad to form there. Our lines are starting to slowly back up once again. I am not sure who I should contact about getting the connection repaired. I hope you can help me out with this.
