Jennifer,

See comments in red below. I’m also copying Jon Patrick. It was good that both Jon and Jake were on the DEQ site tour last Friday as we were able to see all of the fields, and talk about setbacks and operational logistics.

Hi,

I just got off the phone with Dick Heard, he has two scheduling dates available to haul solids for the City.

· Aug. 5th – Aug. 21st (13 days) 8-10 days

· Sept. 7th – Sept 25th (15 days) 8-9 days

I Puiser agrees, I definitely prefer the later date for several reasons…

· Gives time to set up in Puiser fields; order supplies, set boundaries and coordinate with the PW crew to install piezometers. Also I’m not sure if we have determined the actual field locations for application. Bill?

No piezometers are required at the Piuser sites. We discussed this with Pat Heins last Friday and he agreed that none will be required (note there are no requirement for piezometers in the attached authorization letters). This is because the approved application window is from 6/15 through 10/15 (dry season, when groundwater levels are below 3 feet).

I will be emailing Ralph later today to ID specific fields (and subfields) for application. I plan to talk to him tomorrow morning so I can discuss project and field locations timing with him.

· Gives time to repair the valve and preform a leak test in the lagoons beginning mid to late August.

· Also, gives time to get the irrigation repairs needed complete and bring down the lagoon elevations for the leak test and biosolids.

Bill – Can you find out from Ralph if the later of the two dates in September works? I would like to have an answer to Dick Heard no later than EOD on Wednesday so he can schedule us first before other municipalities.

I will try to find out from Ralph tomorrow morning. I first need to send him some new maps so we each know what fields (and subfields) we are each talking about. My goal is to do a handoff to Jake so that operating plans are clear before startup.

Any oppositions to the September dates since our permit allows us to pull solids through October 15th?

The only issue may be that Ralph will start fall-planting some fields by ~ 9/20. So the fields that he will plant earliest should be spread first (so spreading is done on them before 9/20). This should be possible with advanced planning. I will provide more information tomorrow.

I don’t anticipate that being a problem. Dick Heard estimated 1.1 Million gallons could be removed in 11 days. 15 days was assumed for any issues occurring in an 8 hour day. If we can run 9-10 hours this will also help speed up the process. I agree as well, we can plan to place biosolids on or near the fields he wants to begin planting in September.

Thanks!
