Brian – Here is our benefit package here in Molalla. For you to consider or reconsider if you wish is the pay scale below has not been looked at recently and I may do that. However, with your certs you would actually make $71,973.17 (about $6,000 per month). You also would receive overtime pay and I think you know how much that could be in pay or comp time. I think you should call PERS because the sick leave benefit is gone at this point for even Tier 1 employees to calculate towards retirement. I think our health benefits work out quite a bit better than Sutherlin’s also but that is from someone who doesn’t use it. 95/5 and $59.73 a month is pretty good. I would make you a deal on vacation.

You are right it isn’t just the pay – you would also see your wife more often.

WATER/WASTEWATER OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Pay Range: $54,774.72 - $66,641.82 DOE

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt. (Eligible for Overtime and/or Comp Time accrual)

Up to 8% max certificate pay with 2% for each different certification.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Plans, organizes, directs and controls the daily activities of the division. Develops and implements procedures and practices to provide city street maintenance, water, wastewater, storm water collection, park/building facility maintenance services to the community. Assist Public Works Director with division budget and finances, safety, training, long and short term planning related to division services. Related work as assigned or required.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the direction of the Public Works Director.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Work assignments, disciplinary action and performance review of division employees. On occasion, may be responsible for the supervision of other department divisions.
